I just recently began to get interested in hair care products. And I noticed that there are different types of shampoo/conditioner for certain hair types, such as dry or damaged hair, normal hair, color treated hair.
do i need to use shampoo/coditioner for dry or damaged hair if my hair is dry or damaged, and the same scenario if my hair is the normal type? do i have to stick with what my hair type is to that specific shampoo?
also what kind of gel and hairspray do you guys recommend? my hair is beginning to get a little out of control. the gel and hairspray i've used before really damaged my hair.
Lanno,
Hi, my opinion is you should at least start with products that
are designed (or marketed) to fix whatever problem you may
be experiencing, but be willing to experiment. What works for some,
may not work well for you and vice versa.
I only use shampoo & conditioner, so I can't comment on other products.
Hope this helps!
I always use a shampoo and conditioner for dry hair, but yours may vary. I shampoo 2 times, and condition it every other day. I hate gel and hairspray so i use black and white wax as it holds well and also makes the hair look shiny and natural.
Yeah thats the general idea... but keep in mind that many high street brands are going to dry your hair out inspite of what they pertain to do on the label. Pantene is notorious for this.
Unless your hair is really badly damaged and needs an intensive treatment, then stick with mild products. Look for clear shampoos ahead of creamy coloured ones and gentle conditioners, otherwise you'll find that you'll get a build up on your hair and your washing & conditioning everyday just to make your hair feel right.
(This of course is what the manufacturers of these products want you to do, use everyday, buy every month.)
Least this was the advice given to me!
