Hi,
I'm trying to grow my hair out to about shoulder-length. I amn't too far in now, just at the stage where people are saying i need a haircut. I work in quite a 'collar & tie' public-facing place, and am wondering if you guys can give me any styling tips/suggestions so that i can keep my hair looking suitable for work until it gets long enough to lie peoperly. I've tried growing out before nearly a year ago, but gave up too easily over pressure to get a haircut. However, this time i want to do it properly!
Try to slick your hair with gel or wax and slick it back. this would help that your hair looks not so shaggy. I for myself have the same problem, but I am my own boss. My hair is now chinlong and nearby a ponytail. Even with longer hair you can work within an office or so. But keep the ends of your hair cut, that it will not become shaggy.
How long has it taken you to reach this length? Can you tie it into a tail yet? Any idea til what length would slicking back work for me? I've tried parting at moment - looks crap! I'm hoping that my hair will stay tucked behind ears when it gets to a sort of shoulder length, tho.
Depends if your hair is long enough, but you could go the the half-tail, works for me - it can look pretty well groomed if done right.
Otherwise there's always wax & gel.
