I may start taking protein shakes on a daily basis to help with my weight lifting, does anyone know if this will make my hair grow faster or not? I'm hoping that it won't- it grows fast enough on its own! Thanks.
Nope, however hair grows faster when your well nuroshed and healthy, so if you've been taking good care of your self any way it shouldn't cause a problem
well since hair is protien I suppose it *could* help, but really only if you have something like a protien deficiency
But that doesn't follow either. Proteins are made from amino acids not other proteins. That's the reason one of the steps of Hair Formula 37 is nothing but a suite of amino acids. The other step is a suite of vitamins.
...taken protein shakes for years: hasn't done a thing for faster hair growth for me.
Just curiosity, do the protein shakes really work well for working out?
"Just curiosity, do the protein shakes really work well for working out?"
It has been said that you need about 1 gram/1 pound of body weight if you really want to maximize muscle tissue growth. I've been working out for only about one month so far, but I've ordered a lot of protein mix to supplement my protein intake. So yes, protein is a necessity if you're going to try to build muscle.
started taking whey protein last spring in conjunction with tweaking my weightlifting. i noticed no difference in hair growth- HOWEVER i did experience a 30-lb gain in body mass- most of it lean in the past year... that after a decade of not being able to gain much at all.
