I am in the process of growing my hair out. It is about 6-7" long right now. I LOVE it, but I work in a conservative environment. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on keeping it tamed. I put gel in it and tame it in the morning, but by afternoon it's everywhere. It's so cool, but I really need to keep it neater for work. Any advice?
If your doing gel, can you pull it tightly back into a short, neatly coiffed ponytail? I've been watching this lawyer I pass on the elevator who is also in the process of growing out his hair which is thick, but straight and medium brown, low hairline in the front, sort of Pierce Brosnan looks. Anyway, today I noticed that he's pulled it back tight with a black scrunchie into this three or four inch pony tail. He had the neck hairs and the the lowest hairs trimmed back, so its very neat, very corporate - REALLY! If you see him from the front it just looks like he's slicked his hair back.
