My hair's about 2" past top of shoulders, bangs are at chin length and I have a shorter layer all around, level with the jawline.
But it's all stopped growing!! NO growth over the last two months (except perhaps a TINY bit on the back, it's hard to say).
It can't be terminal length yet, because then the shorter layer would still keep growing, right?
Now I eat healthy, don't smoke or do drugs etc. and my hair's reasonably healthy too, I don't even have split ends.
Is this lack of growth normal or has something gone seriously wrong?
Just I've never heard of this happening before.
Sometimes I think certain times of the year effect growth.........but I can't prove it and am only going by my own experience. For now, I wouldn't fret all that much about it. BUT....in 4 months "if" you see no longer length or less length, at that point I would be concerned. My opinion only: probably normal for you and the hair WILL grow longer.
Mine has grown a whole 10mm over 2 months!
I'm not happy at all.
My hair will grow longer, least I hope it will. It was on my sholders when I was 17-19, so I can do it.
Im going throught he same thing right now i think its the winter months hair can go kind of dormant.
I'd read that hair grows less in winter, but hadn't encountered it. Maybe that's what it is... I've decided not to worry about it for another 2 months or so.
If that's true, ill be astonished to see the results as summer progresses as my hair already grows 1 to 1 1/4 inches a month right now:)
I agree with Nyge. Hair does tend to go dormant in cold winter months. It is winter weather a good 8 months out of the year where I reside. I found that heated deep conditioning treatments once a week or even once every 2 weeks greatly helps to combat this. Most salons provide this service and at a reasonable rate. I have been going once a week for about 6 months and my hair has grown faster than it ever has and it is only 10 bucks a session and I am going to a well known salon.
