Dude...
Just wanted to thank you again for putting together that instruction page for tying a bandana! The art of wearing one has eluded me for years, and I'd been too lazy to try and figure them out myself or ask someone else how to wear them. Finally got around to picking one up tonight, and am now enjoying the convenience and comfort of my own! It looks and feels great!
Sadly, my wife thinks otherwise. She playfully slapped me for turning into an Axel Rose look-alike (looking like Axel was NOT my intent! LOL!). She'll get used to it.
hehehe
Excellent picture, it looks good on you. If enough guys learn to tie a bandana maybe I'll start a bandana-wearing fad! Thanks for the feedback.
Gollan - where did you post the pictures and instructions ?
I have been looking for them to see if it is the same as I do.
Did I miss it here or is it on your webpage, if it is please post a link for me.
Thanks,
From the main forum index, use your browser's Edit menu to Find the word "bandana" (sans quotes). Your browser should point directly to Gollan's post. The link is in that message.
Nightfall was kind enough to point out where it is from my home page. Here are the direct links:

the "rambo" bandana style looked pretty cool, i liked that pic.
I get "Willie Nelson" comments the way I wear my bandanna. Definitely was not my intent, but in time I've come to just celebrate it. Those who point out the Willie connection inevitably think its cool, and people thinking you're cool is a GOOD thing. :-) I'm just glad I've always gone by "Bill" and never by "Willie". At first I thought such people knew me and were just playing with my name. If it actually WERE my name, that could be VERY confusing!

What we're probably up against is just people who run in circles where they don't see very many people wearing bandannas in real life, but it is not easy to miss such people on television.
The coolest such encounter was with three twenty-something dudes who were selling Christmas trees where we got ours in December. They thought I was so awesome they almost got their camera. They were falling all over me. It approached "swooning".
I also get "hippie" comments of course. The reason I began to wear the bandanna was that I live in a very windswept city on a peninsula sticking out into the ocean, and a bandanna is practical here for a longhair who does not want a ponytail. Come to think of it, that is probably why the hippies began to wear bandannas in the first place. I live a mile from Haight Street, and the weather over there is not that much different.
