I'm thinking about just wearing a baseball hat for the growing stage (my hair is about down to my lips now) for the next 6 months. Is that REALLY bad for my hair? I know there's some who say-with the best intentions-that you shouldn't do anything that is the least bit damaging to your hair, but I just want to make sure that wearing a baseball hat (perhaps 5 hours a day) won't lead to permanent damage that will make me need to cut all my hair off when it's long. Thanks guys
Would protect your hair from the sun so it wont get bleached also protect it from drying out if you live in a dry climate. So I say go for it.
I was under the impression it slowed growth a bit. But I wore a hat throughout m awkward stage so I think its worth it.
personal experience says yes
Sorry, are you answering the question I had in the subject (not the message text), and if so, please expand if you don't mind.
everything is damaging, even washing your hair or simply the friction from your pillow at night. but at the same time remember hair isn't made of snowflakes, it won't melt if you touch it wrong. unless your hat is made of sandpaper, it's not worth worrying about the damage it could cause.
man every one I know..in my moms side of the famliy..wears hats...well guess what..they also have no hair in front...there foreheads are so big you could ski down them....I think hats are cool..I like bennies, I dont know....dont wear a hat if it troubles you...ace
