What i noticed in pictures (before and after) a major haircut is that when somebody cuts their long hair short they look much younger.
What I notice in photos having to do with (before and after) major haircut is that when somebody cuts their long hair to nearly nothing is that they usually look much older.
Agree!!! Look a Viggo mortensen in LOTR he looked young in that...when he cut his hair you could really see how old he actually is.
My statement above isn't accurate completely, for there ARE exceptions. But, I do believe for the most part that shorter hair does rob one of a more youthful apperance.
Really I think that long haird men tend to look younger than short haird ones, unless you have the dreaded horseshoe ponytail (After the shape of the bald spot)
I disagree that short hair makes someone look younger - you face it what makes the initial appearance. you have a young looking face - you look young, how can a short haircut make you "look" young ?
People can never guess my age - they all guess 10-15 years younger that what my age is - and my hair is curly/past my shoulders, and I have a moustace and goatee...

Yeah Im gonna have to agree that longer hair makes people look younger, I think just based on the fact that as the majority of people male and female get older they tend tend to cut their hair shorter and shorter, so you tend to associate long hair with youth.
Unquestionabley, when I'm an old women I'm planning on long grey or white hair. Very wise looking, even if I do look old there's really no hope of hiding ones age past a certain point, old men with long hair that isn't thinning also have a wise look, think gandalf or sauruman in the lord of the rings movies and really is it that bad to look old, it means you have expearinince or possibley power. It is such a shame though that robes are out of fashion
Generally I think long hair makes young people look older, and older people look younger. Best of both worlds really!
