this is the latest pic of me with wet hair..
It's looking good! Nice progress, I also like the goatee.
It is interesting to read some of the posts and remember the struggle of going from a shaved head to shouldblade length hair. It took about 3 years for the talk to die down. Now nobody - or seldom do I hear a comment about my hair except the occasional girl/women who says you have longer hair than I do. I always deny it and then laugh.
It is one of the best things I ever did for several reasons.
1. Since the longest hair I ever had prior was just over the collar, I never knew until now (55 yrs) how great an experience it is to have long hair.
2. These are pretty conservative times in the workplace today and being able to finesse long hair makes it even more meaningful than say in the 1970s.
3. The number of guys with shoulder length hair is still very small.
I did it at exactly the right moment. Even in the last 3 years the moreplace has become more conservative. Having long hair and being able to keep it is way easier than having short hair and letting it grow long.
It is obvious from my comments here that I just let it grow long for no apparent reason. (I wasn't trying to get noticed) When I am out in public and my hair is down as opposed to a ponytail, I sure do get a million looks. Getting on a bus and walking to the back, they look at you as if you are from somewhere else - and I am. I am from the land of longhaired people.
The best advice. Don't cut a single strand of hair. We all make the mistake of trimming when the pressure is on and people are commenting, but it is the worst thing one can do for hair control.
Looks really cool man.
Looks great. How about a photo "dry" as a comparison?
