Have you ever been combing through isolated sections of your hair and noticed an individual strand of hair or two that appears to have become knotted within itself? How do you deal with the knots if they cannot be undone? I've occasionally run into knots that have resulted from two or more strands of hair becoming caught up in one another - those are easy to undo. I find it almost impossible to undo a knot if there are is no more than one strand to work with.
I usually add water to that area and work it out.
Forcing it with a comb or brush usually doesn't work when it's just a couple of tightly knotted hairs. If you cannot finger pick it apart because it's too tight then you may have to just snip it off so it won't keep tangling with other hairs.
Better to clean cut it than rip it out.
I find these everyday there annoying as all hell but I simply work out what hairs I can and then snip the little bud like knot that is left with one or two hairs.
Yes, I get those on occasion. Being an impatient person, I just snip it off.
Mostly, I can work them out by gently running my fingers through it.
I tend to take a tiny bit of conditioner, and just massage it into the troublesome little blighter. Usually works... If it doesnt, I still wouldnt advise snipping it off straightaway. Many a time ive been suprised to find a knot wasnt as tight as i thought it was an has just shaken itself out during the day.
