  Hi to all ,

  This weekend I saw a guy with ponytail.
  The odd thing I noticed was that the hairs on his head (not his tail)
  were very shiny. It was as if he used some gel or oil in his hair.
  Does anybody know what this could be ? I liked this look very much.
  If it was oil (which I guess it was) , what kinds are the best ,
  and how do you use it ? Can you use it for a whole day ?
  Is it good for your hair ?

    I know this look. I used to slick my hair back with gel and tie it in a ponytail when it was much shorter. Usually gels are used for this. But I hear that pomade is much healthier to use.

        You can buy a product name silky shine, it is a natural spray, an hair polish mist, not oily or greasy at all.

    Funny you should ask, I was just thinking about this myself. It's probably "glossing" which is a chemical colour treatment involving putting clear colour onto the hair. Clairol makes a clear colour in its Radiance line which accomplishes the "glossing" effect. Several other manufacturers has similar lines like sebastiuan and redken. Was thinking about running down to the beauty supply this morning and doing mine, as for some reason it's getting a dull appearance this season.
