I attached a pic so maybe someone could tell me if i would even look good with longer hair, i know others opinions dont matter but, they would help a little...........
thx, Jason
basically, your plan should be to just let it grow--not even a trim--for 8 to 10 months (for a starter...) With hair as thick as yours, you can't help but look good with long hair. Go for it...!

Jason, as someone else who is just starting out [well again lol] my best suggetion is just let it grow, gel, and or a hat cover a multitude of sins while going through the fuzzy stage, but you'll get through that quickly

To be honest, I dont use any gel, hairspray, mousse, or wear any caps, I just comb my hair a couple of times a day and simply leave it as it is. You can grow without those products, and the results will be far better if you stay away from these temptations!
Yeah, just let it grow. You can fool around with your sideburns and stache while you wait patiently for your hair to grow. I would grow in a beard and stache to where it starts to show up nice, and with your dark hair color, that should be fairly quick. Then you can try some things out, like maybe to start off with, for your face type, maybe some sidebearns that curve in towards your lips to a point. I believe "Rock" sporting something similiar and Mark on here has the same type of burns. Anyways, just try some different looks and you will soon find the look that you like the best and stick with.
Good Luck!
Well good luck to you and you have alot of support here. One comment I have to make. I'm sure I'll get chewed for this but I'll make it anyway. I just seems alot of men, okay there are alot of excepts here on this board, just want to grow it to shoulder length only. Mine went past that stage ages ago, but it it because some people can't cope with it any longer. If you can grow it let it flow.
Cheers,
John.
I agree - just do it man!
There's a few of us in the same place as you, and we're here if you get the temptations to have a cut. As to whether you'd suit it, there's no real way to know, but it'll be an experience, and if you decide you're not happy with it, all it takes is half an hour at the barbers *sniff*.
And all you'll have done is saved a year's funding on haircuts :)
Honestly though, most people do suit longer hair, so have a go and try not to cave - we know the temptations are strong.
Good luck!
