Several weeks ago I posted a survey regarding the "grass is greener" cliché that asked users about their hair and their preferences. Here is what people said:
Intriguing! Thanks for posting the poll results!
Very awesome job! Thanks!
Very interesting, thanks for putting in all that effort!
Yeah kudos to you for doing that - I guess, we await your conclusions based on the survey.
I'm really not sure on what kind of conclusions to make. The results are pretty widespread. What I did do is take the respondants who answered "straight" or "curly" to question 4 and tallied how much they said they liked it in question 7.
76 total male respondents of which...
22 said to have completely straight hair, of which...
5 were always happy with it
13 were sometimes happy with it
3 were never happy with it
1 had no preference
9 said to have completely curly hair, of which...
1 was always happy with it
5 were sometimes happy with it
3 were never happy with it
Of course, the answers to question 4 are strongly dependent on what people considered to be straight/curly versus wavy hair. On the other hand, it still gives you an idea of the opinions of the respondants regardless of what their hair actually is like.
I'm glad that the survey was worthwhile for you--thanks to everyone who responded. I was amazed by the number of results that were received. I thought at first that it would be too much to ask and that people generally wouldn't want to respond to such a survey. This has happened to me in other forums on other topics. But it seems pretty clear that people do enjoy talking about their (long) hair.
