This morning I finally got around to trying out the 'vinegar rinse.
I used about 2 teaspoons of vinegar to 1/2 a liter (or 2 cups) of warm water.
*First I shampooed my hair as usual (ViVE Smooth-Intense shampoo)
*Rinsed out the shampoo well.
*Poured the entire amount of the above mentioned vinegar rinse all
over my hair.
*Worked it throughout my hair.
*Then I rinsed it out well.
*This was followed by a small amount of conditioner (ViVE Smooth-Intense conditioner).
*Rinsed out conditioner.
MY Results:
*Very silky
*Easy to comb
*For some reason, the excess moisture was better absorbed by the towel!
*Fabulous texture
*Extra shine-healthy looking.
*It is now evening, and I must say, I haven't had such a 'GOOD Hair Day' in a very long time!
I will try this again sometime this week to see if I get the same results.
Thought I'd share this with everyone, just in case you
would like to try it yourselves*
(*You could substitute your favorite shampoo & conditioner for the ones I mentioned).
Last Saturday I too tried out a vinegar rinse, using apple cider vinegar, aussie moist and 3 minute miracle:
I put 1 tablespoon to 1/2 pint of warm water. Did much as you said in your technique and I was very pleased with the results. Hair felt very soft, and clean, and my natural oils spreaded throughout my hair within 48 hours!. I usually have to wait double that time to get any natural oil back into my hair. The reason I think my oils coated my hair quicker was because there was no buildup from shampoo's to slow it down:D
It is Magic!
Can you use just any kind of vinegar? Or is there a specific kind you should use?
I don't think it matters as long as it is the 5% acidity. I'd recomend apple cider vinegar over distilled.
Lately I've been using a cup of water with a little vinegar as a final rinse and it really helps, especially since I have extremely hard water. On the days that I shampoo I also add a drop of olive oil to restore moisture.
