Hey whats up? I have been reading messages from these poest for about a year now. I dont post much though. Well anyways, I have been growing my haior for almost a year now and i have had this prblem a while now and I was wondering if anyone cuould help me. I like to tuck my hair behind my ears because its alot easier and i have think hair so i like how looks better anyway. But whenever i do this my hair tends to curl around my ears. So I can only push it behind my ears. If i want to wear it normally i cant cuz the hair has dried flipping like crazy! Sprry for the length pf the post. Any suggestions?
I think I know what you mean: although my hair isn't as long as yours, the hair around my right ear, especially just in front by the temple, frizzes and curls madly.
I put it down to wearing glasses, I might just get contacts.
Perhaps Hair Pins? I have seen in the past ones that are made to look like hair is going over the pin itself. They come in a variety of colors and would be just about impossible to notice.
Just a thought.
The problem is that you've now trained your hair to curl because you've been tucking it back behind your ears.
At 1 year I couldn't tuck my hair behind my ears without it flipping once I let it fall loose, but that's not suck a problem 3 months later.
Two things to do -
1) let it grow, the length will cause the flip to be further up the hair shaft - ie: further from the ends of the hair, this means there will be more wieght of hair after the curl, so it'll straighten more easily when you wear it down after having tucked it behind your ears. (make sense?)
2) Try blow drying your hair (on a low heat setting) it should help it stay straighter, use a rounded brush and dry your hair curling against the natural flips.
It'll stop once your hair gets longer.
