Picture Purged
This is a picture of Chad Kroeger from Nickelback, and this is sort of the way I'm headed with my hair. I talked to my stylist friend and he said that I will need a perm, and some highlights put in to complete the appearance. What do you all think from the previous picture I posted, how it would look on me?
Judging by the pic on your other post, I think this would work for you. You already cut it, so why not go for the look you like?
Personally, I've never tried to go for the look of any celebrity. But that's just me.
In response to your post below, I can definitely relate to hair getting stuck behind you while you're driving. It's a real pain.
Like you, I've felt the frustration at times with having very long hair. Like you, I've trimmed it up. I won't go shorter than mid-back though. Even at mid-back, it feels too short for me. I usually stay around 3/4 back to waist. Longer than waist was very annoying to me when I had it.
Again, go for it. I think it's a look that will work for you.
I think it would look good on you, but I'd suggest you seriusly consider whether you want that look so closely that you'd get a perm for it. Perms work by chemically breaking down your hair then building it again in the new shape, but it often isn't rebuilt as good as it was before (not all the chemical bonds reform). You can't count on permed hair being as healthy as your natural hair. It may not be as bad as what the sun-in did, but something similar could happen. An alternative would be to put waves/curls in your hair when you style it and really want that look, using a curling iron or some kind of rollers.
I don't know if that is a perm or
if those are not his natural highlights.
Wash & condition your hair and let it dry naturally
to see if you have any built-in waving or curls.
Then take a good look at your hair in the sunlight.
You may decide that highlighting isn't necessary afterall!
