OK - Finally managed to take some decent progress pics to mark the 15 Month Anniversary - I really can't believe I've been growing this long.
My hair is quite big now, and still really wavy as the pics show. They were taken in the morning and I'd just walked in to work, as a result I'm even more frizzed up than usual.
(BTW: I'm still having trouble looking "normal" in front of a camera)
And this pic which really shows what a wavy mess my hair is at the moment.
All in all not a good hair day - but I'm pleased with the growth rate.
Comments/Critiques/Questions all welcomed.
I think your hair looks awesome! I'd love to have hair that long right now, but I'll have to stay patient.
Thanks Blonde - but today - I'd swap ya! I got fed up with it by 6:00pm and tied it back - I guess that's one of the benefits of the length. Still I wish I could do more to combat the flips, curls & general bigness.
I guess it goes back to what they say about the grass being greener on the otherside... :-)

Hey you seem to have the same hair type as me wait tell you hit or get closer to two years its gonna look kick ass.
nice man, your hair is similar to mine (i'm nearing 12 months of progress, so it's a bit shorter), but i have to deal with a lot of frizziness... your hair looks much tamer than mine in that regard.

As always, I am a fan of yours Sorted, and your hair too. Perhaps letting someone else take the photos would help with your comfort level, even better if you don't know they are photographing you.

Looks pretty good to me. Don't know why you are so critical of your hair's curls and texture----that's what makes it so sexy :). And the length is becoming very nice too.

Dude, your hair is looking good. Try to be patient and in due time a lot of those waves will straighten out as your hair gets longer and heavier and those bad hair days will be a fading memory. Absalom
You're hair looks great, quit fretting over the waves. I know a lot of people who would kill to have hair like that. Leave it alone and it will look even better in a month. Keep up the great work.
BTW, we americans don't always look so hot in front of the camera either. At least you're brave enough to share. LOL.

Great progress. You wouldn't know if from my directory picture, but I think our hair is a very similar texture. I figure I'm about 6 to 8 months behind you in length. I'll start to feel like I've really arrived again as a long hair when I get to your length.
In all your pictures, I can sort of see by the part of your arm that is showing that you are holding the camera. I can't quite figure this one out, though.
Ah! Its my secret weapon - A 30 second timer which I use for back n side shots - I tried using it for the front but I can't hold a goof free smile long enough!
I figured. My post was mostly a joke. Since you mention the goof free smile, though, I want to recount something from this weekend.
On Saturday, the rescheduling of Eeyore's Birthday party took place. Last weekend it was rained out. For those of you not from Austin, Eeyore's Birthday party is an occasion when all sorts of people (with a high concentration of hippie types) gather together to have a lot of fun, bang on drums, dance to the drums, drink, partake in other goodies while avoiding the cops, etc., etc. Oh, yeah. And lots of people dress up.
I happened to be dressed up in my Jesus costume (totally a fluke -- my robe just happened to be the next thing in my closet). I was wandering past the drums and dancers, when a 20-ish girl approached me and said that a photographer (http://photomatt.com) wanted to take pictures of me.
Well, I didn't have any real objections, so I followed her to the photographer's setup. He had a backdrop set up against a tree. He had me pose in various poses with my friend Robin and also alone. He was working on one final pose, where I was supposed to have a serious look, when Mona (yes, the same not-Mona as in a previous thread) and her roommate showed up!
Up until that point, I was doing a very good job of controlling any myrth, giggles, smirks, or what have you. But when I saw them, I lost it. I had to recompose myself.
I've emailed the photographer, and I'm still waiting for a reply on what's going to happen to the pictures.

Great progress, Sorted! And trust me, it doesn't look as frizzy to others as it does to you. In fact, it doesn't look big or frizzy at all in the photos. And the "wavy mess"...hey, it adds character!
