I've been posting to this board for a while now and have had reservations about posting my photo or email address. But after seeing all the members of this board, I figure, why not?
So, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Ed and here's a photo of me taken this morning in my backyard in sunny San Jose, California. As you can see, I've had long hair for many years now.
Two notes: I usually don't wear my hair in front like this - but having it in back doesn't make a good hair photo. Also, I trimmed it only a week ago, so what's in the photo is as short as I wear my hair.

I started growing my hair in 1990. I estimate I keep about 6 year's worth. I do receive complements on my hair.

Welcome to the Board. Your hair looks spectacular! How many years did it take you to get there and is it pretty much terminal growth? I could only hope I can get mine that long and have it look that great!

I thought I'd answer some of the questions here.
I estimate I keep about 6 years worth of hair. I don't know what my terminal length is - I haven't reached it. Its all genetics... I chose my parents carefully (;-)
I wash my hair every day. I use various brands of mild shampoo and no conditioner. Hair dryers are dangerous and useless at my length, so I air dry it with the help of a box fan in the summer and an electric heater in the winter. Never sit too close!
I untangle my hair using only fingers. Combs are useless. I haven't tried brushes.

Your hair is absolutely beautiful. I'm sure you're going to be a real inspiration for so many guys just starting out on the long road to long hair. Thanks so much for posting your picture . . . and please continue to post more.
You said you just got a trim. How much did you have trimmed off? And how often do you trim it? Do you think you'll ever just let it go and see how long it will grow?
I'm 5' 8" tall.
I trim 1-2 inches off the ends every few months. I like my hair at this length. Most people consider it very long!

Ed, your hair is so wonderfully long and so beautiful, that I can't find any words to describe my rapture. But it is a pity, that you posted only ONE picture of yourself. The URL picture you posted is "http://members.ispwest.com/edgrochowski/edphoto1.jpg". Perhaps there will be an "...edphoto2.jpg" soon? Or even more up to "...edphoto10.jpg" ? I am sure, that many people here on this board are waiting for more pictures of you.
