Ok im going to try and explain this. There are three showers in my house the one I use and my parents are both powerfull high flow showers which I love. My dad was sealing some leaks in these two showers today so I had to use my brothers shower which is a low flow which I hate. Anyways After showing in the low flow I relized my hair seemed straighter and less knotted then when I usually shower and very smooth feeling even before I was out of the shower if felt smoother. It also slicked back without any resistance at all after I had partially towel dried it which is very uncommon usually I have to be very gentle or I will end up pulling on some knot. Now I use four different products on my hair not all at the same time of course though. For the last while ive been using the nioxin shampoo with my Aussie mega conditionar for dry hair. Tonite though I relized I was out of Aussie conditionar and out of Nioxin shampoo so I used my Aussie mega shampoo with the nioxin conditionar. So what I am basically asking is do you think it was the product change or the shower type that affected how my hair turned out after being washed? My hair is still wet at the moment so I will let you all know if there is any difference to it when it is dry as well.
Three showers in your house?! You're certainly living the American dream! You must be well off:) That's pretty cool.
It was probably the combination of both low flow water and shampoo, I would have thought.
Haha american dream eh well being Canadian I cant say I know what your talking about hah. Three showers seems pretty common around here I wouldnt consider it that well off but I guess it is a fairly nice city.
Oh right cool, I like Canada:)
I would guess that it's most likely to be the change in shower pressure that's changed your hair, since you've used the products before, just not together.
I always use a low flow of water to wash my hair - remember the harsher the shower treatment, the more natural oil you're losing down the plughole. So that could be the reason.
Let us know if you get a definite answer - use your bro's shower again, using your normal shampoo and conditioner and see what the score is.

"Champagne for my real friends, and real pain for my sham friends"
I'll have to use this in my real friend whose last name is Sham.
Three shower eh?... lucky you. Anyhows its more likely a bit of both. If you stopped using your nioxin which is like a clarifier and used aussie then it would have coated your hair slightly, the lower pressure would have washed less of this and your cond off... so basically its probably residue on your hair making it smoother... sorta like when you use a new shampoo for the 1st time its always great then you use it again and again an it gets worse and worse...
Well I havnt reshowered in his yet but after allowing my hair to completely dry there was a difference. I have very fine hair but alot of it and my hair is usually fairly thick and curly at the ends. Using the other shower my hair was very stright and not anywhere near its usual thickness. I liked how my hair wasnt twisted at all but the loss of thickness isnt worth it.
