Hi all,
I'm curious as to everyone's favorite shampoo and/or conditioner when it comes to scent (neglecting effectivity). Have you ever been complemented on your hair's scent instead of its appearance?
I admit to pulling out my bottles of Loreal Vive S.I. every now and then solely for the smell.

I love smell of Salon Selectives Completely Drenched line. Unfortunately, my hair doesn't like it much, so I use it very infrequently.
Nicky Clarke chocolate 'conditioning' stuff... It smells lovely but what it does exactly I'll never know....hence I dont use this, it also looks nice in your hand too, all dark, glossy with shimmering bits in it.
When my female friends smell my hair, they always comment on it. I don't use heavily scented products but I do use nice ones... usually doesn't matter which brand, as long as it's not one that smells like floor cleaner (they do exist).
I think girls just like the fact that they can play with your hair - makes you almost like another girl to them.... not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

I'd say there is pleasure in playing with any friend's hair but I'd peg it more on a social grooming thing akin to monkeys picking bugs off each other. Rather than seeing a guy as another girl with this behavior it is more likely being friendly or wanting to be closer. When my kneee length friend let a swarm of girls play with his hair, I can assure you we never lost sight of the masculinity of who it was that grew that hair.

I'm sure you're right about the whole social grooming thing - although there is something that's just 'nice' about being fawned over. There's few things in this world I would choose over lying with my head in the lap of a girl with gentle hands...

Unfortunately, our 'favorite' scent does not always match up
with the best products for our hair.
ViVE has a very clean, fresh scent that easily lasts into tomorrow.
The scent can be very strong, initially...
but your head never smells anything but clean.
System Biolage Hydrating shampoo. A slight hint of apples, and very good results on hair, but at a high price.
