Guys, you'll all be proud of me. I have decided not to cut my hair short! I just can't go through with it. I belive that as long as I give it enough time and take good care of it, it will fix itself.
Congratulations! I'm glad this is the decision you have made. Patience is truly the greatest thing when growing long hair.
Acheiving results does take patience and it sounds like you have it. Good Luck!
happy growing!
My hair has looked really bad for several months at a time while growing it. You really would be surprised how it seems to just fix itself with time. I couldn't be happier with how my hair is turning out. In the next couple of days I'm going to have about half an inch trimmed off only because the ends are starting to look dry, ratty, and tangle more than they should. I think one trim in 2 years is prity good. So my advice to you would be, like you said, wait it out. Perhaps a year later when your hair starts to take shape maybe trim the layered part off. At that point it won't fee like a cut, only a small trim.
it cannot fix itself, because there isn't any problem with it anyway :) Just try to be happy with how your hair is. Possibly put the mirrors down for a few weeks?
Good luck with the growing process, it's worth it!!

Congratulations, both on keeping your hair and having gained the virtue of patience, one that from my experience, proves to be quite valuable in many aspects of life.
