When you guys just start wearing a ponytail, is it like, high on your head and how long does it take the bangs to fit into the hair tie?
I won't be having a ponytail until it can all be tied back at mid back level, and even then it'll only be when I have to. It's currently all at the same level at the bottom of my neck, top of my back, brushing my sholders.

Im approaching two years growth and When wet a can put my pony tail fairly high or low and it all stays in. If my hair is parted and dry It all stays in a low pony tail my bangs just make it now.
My Hair will reach a high ponytail which will stay relatively safe, but I don't wear it like that cos it looks a little goofy. Instead I wear a half-tail. I won't wear a full tail until I can tie one low on my neck.
Generally the bangs need to reach about 1-2 inches past your chin before they will fit into a low ponytail, and they need to be past your bottom lip to reach a high tail or half tail.
I've not seen a picture of your hair Ivix so I can't tell you how long it will take you. But you'll be able to work it out depending on your current length, remembering hair grows at about 0.5 inches (1.25 cm) per month.
when it could barely get in a ponytail and i wanted to wear it that way for whatever reason, i usually wrapped some piece of cloth around my head to keep the shorter hair in place
something like the picture below, but with much shorter hair :)
good luck!

It's a bit diificult to 'come out' as a 'ponytail' I still don't tie my hair back much, although it's shoulder length. Once one's into the short ponytail situation it's like starting to grow one's hair all over again!
