I have a question for everyone. What is your position of French Braids? I can do them (I have a 10-year-old sister and, until recently, a single mom), but I don't know what others think of them. I also have an undercut, so even with my thick hair, they won't look quite right untill it grows out. but I was just looking for opinions of the French breaid on guys.
Thanks,
Luke
hey luke!
i just responded to you below! anyway, as i said in the previous response to you, i like undercuts! they are way cool! i think french braids look great too. i've seen them on bikers, Latin men, construction workers, but very few on eveyday long hairs. still, i think they look good. . .they generally look better on guys with straight hair because they seem to have fewer hairs that escape and make it look linda frizzy. . .unless you put your hair in a french briad while it is wet, and let it dry in the braid. that seems to lessen the frizzies of you have wavy hair.
so how far up on the sides of your head and up the back do you have the undercut?

I like them. I know a couple of male friends with braids. I saw a guy yesterday that had his hair shaved on the sides and long french braids on the top. If you get braids, you just have to determine what thickness you want and how long you want to sit as well as maintenance. You also have to think about your hair texture. My hair is very fine and grows fast and when braided (your hair will grow very fast when braided) I'd have it maintenance every six weeks or so. Don't worry about your undercut, braids can always be put in, even if you have help via extensions.

One of them is a french braid. I plan on adding more when I get a chance, but there are a couple to start.
Thanks,
