Picture Purged
Hey everyone.
Firstly, I'm sorry to hear some people have lost their hair... never a happy event, and I hope none of you are disheartened - not everyone you know will be as understanding as yourself... and us guys :)
Secondly, here's the most recent pic of my growth. I took the liberty of removing the half-month stages pictures.
Anyway, have a laugh...
oh, and the final picture is in reference to my previous comment about the chances of me reaching 30 years old before being able to grow a nice beardy :)

Well, your hair looks great. Very shine, which always looks healthy.
And now your hair is already in your 'wolfeyes'!
Soon you will have to concern yourself with 'restraining' it,
this way and that.
Congratulations & Good luck on your Journey!
Looks great, wolfeyes! And if it's any consolation, I'll be 30 in September, my sideburns are pathetic, I still can't grow a mustache at all, and my beard is nothing more than faint, patchy stubble.
Cheers,
Jeremy
.....but I grew a full beard at 16. I used to be the one that made all of the alcohol purchases for me and my group of friends. Back then, the drinking age was 18, and having a full beard ensured I never got carded.
Hang in there, maybe one day you'll have a beard too!
Thanks... Something I never understood was, I was always the one making the alcohol purchases for my friends. And I'm pretty sure that at 15 I did not look of age!
But I was always polite and cheerful... and maybe the long hair at the time fooled them into thinking I was older.
Yeah, still baffles me to this day. I also got into night clubs at that age...
though if you invited me to one now, I'd probably let you know that my days spent having my eardrums raped by music I hate are long since past. Now I like to have some conversation when I go out for a pint :)

Hey, I am not one to lavish compliments on somebody's appearance but to me the extra hair is making a very positive difference. The photo you use at the top of your messages is Cruise-esque.

Thanks snarf.
Hoping I could maybe go for a similar style to his longer days, when I have enough hair anyway :)

It is not uncommon. I was in my 30's before I could grow a decent beard.
Long hair board aside, you look really good with long hair d00d. Does it feel nice when you are in public and you look around at EVERY guy and they have military buzz cuts? That is how I see it sometimes...
Yeah - especially in Belfast. Over here we have what we refer to as 'spides' - they're almost like hoodies, but more retarded. they're kids that wear tracksuits, have bum-fluff moustaches, really bad buzz-cuts, speak in a broad accent, and generally hang round drinking on street corners causing trouble. The greatest occurence of spides is at religious interstections... where protestant areas border on catholic areas.
typical spide language: "Here mate, what the fawk, leek. I'll nack yer hippy fawkin neck aff yer head, leek."
Unfortunately one of those areas is relatively near to where I live, so it's amusing to see their faces as I walk down the street - there seem to be very few longhairs in Belfast... I think they're like an underground community or something.
The bad part is that it's people like me that the spides like to pick on, and they only work in groups of at least 5. Thankfully I can usually take care of myself... and if not "I can run like the wind blows."
PS. This paints a bad portrait of Belfast - it's not always like this, and not in every area... just so you guys know :)

I know exactly the type of folks you mean! In Glasgow we called them 'Neds', and here in Birmingham it's usually the Kingstanding folk. They drive me mad!
In Liverpool we call them scall's. They have this thing for Lacoste tracksuits (outside of spain we're the worlds biggest buyer of lacoste, so my friend tells me who works in wade smith who have a lacoste shop lol)...an its a load of s**te. They even used to tuck thier tracksuit bottoms under their socks at one point (the latest craze I guess..). And the way they speak is just shamefull! its so embarrasing when something is on tv with liverpulians on it cos they always pick the worst scall's they can find and make a show of us all! I'm so glad I dont have a strong liverpool accent, its just awful.
No beard for me either - can barely grow a whisker! But Good Progress mate, keep growing!
Looks so awesome man, I think your hair kicks ass!
Thanks Sid!
Your hair will definately suit your face, and you know it!
You said before you couldnt wait to see my progress pics, I posted them nearly a week ago, did you see them, they should still be on the board somewhere.
Yeah, saw your pics the other day - looking good! Keep the growing up. We should probably hit our desired lengths about the same time, so don't lose the will!

Hey, your hair is coming on great! I should post some pics myself but im a little wary.. :-/ maybe when I get my digi camera I'll just do it. As for growing a beard... me neither, but its a blessing in a way cause ive got eczema (dont you have that too..?) an shaving really sets it off.... an from what I hear from my friends shaving everyday soon looses its appeal. In fact some have even been jealous of me for not having to shave everyday!
Thanks! Don't be ashamed of your progress pics - everyone understands that us guys still have to make it through the awkward stage... look at some of mine! lol
Yeah I have eczema too - I can usually only use an electric shaver unless my skin's really good; and I keep my neck clean-shaven all the time, as it gets irritated by stubble. But the rest is grand. I never shave every day cos I look young as it is, so I like to keep the stubble present. Most of my friends are shavers too - I have very soft facial skin because of the daily moisturising routine, so I get jealousy over that instead - I hear ladies hate the sandpaper feeling :)

Why do you desire a beard btw? I hate how mine feels all crunchy and tickly just where my jaw and neck meet after about a week which is the longest I have been able to stand letting it grow before I just HAVE to shave. I think it looks too thin and bum-looking anyways not like some of these other guys that it looks like it belongs.
It's hard to explain... I guess it's like knowing you should have long hair. It just feels right. It may be due to the fact that during my young life my dad always had a beard, and that I'd like to be like him... that's probably what a psychologist would say if they knew the facts... though freud would probably add that I had some kind of fantasy about it.... definately not true.

Growing a beard is really fun actually. You may be a late starter, but it'll come around eventually. And since it grows so fast, you get to experiment with it a lot and find the style that suits you best. For me, it's a thin goatee.
Having said all that, you do look really good clean shaven. Some people look like a baby (like me!) when clean shaven. My beard makes me look high 20's.
