Hello Gentlemen,
I was wondering your opinion on bangs. They don't appear to be very popular when I view posts here, but I got 'em. In part, it is because the weight of the front of my hair makes it appear my hair is overly receding. When I trim it, I get more bulk out of it. At my age (44), I need all the help I can get to steer away from the receding hairline graveyard!
So, what do you think? Does it work for me?
Personally, I think your hair would look great all one length. You've got a great head of hair! If you do decide to give it a try, post update pics here so we can see the changes.
i have the same hair dude. my hairline is father back and always has been. I just push my bangs behind my ears or wear a tail. hope that helped a bit.
I also have a high hairline on my forehead, would that be a disadvantage as far as hair growing and having bangs fall in my face, or will I have to keep them tucked behind my ears?
I tuck mine behind the ears too, but also have the front trimmed and just comb that part back. I use a little gel or something to get it to go there and stay. As the day wears on it falls and is more just swooped to the side, but it works for me.
I looked to see if you had a shot of your hair, but didn't see one. Do you have one posted? Can I see? I am always curious and intriqued when someone has similar features. As far back as I can remember, I have always looked to see how other people with similar hair handle theirs.
I don't have any pics posted due to no scanner. If I want to wear it down I use very little hair spray or gel on the hair close to my scalp(on my bangs), comb or hold my hair in place til firm but has nice play. I got this idea from a movie I saw. my hair line is farther than most and this still works. if you play around with a couple of ideas you'll find somthing that works well for you. hope this helped a bit.

This may sound a little silly, but I thought eveyone had bangs. Could someone please enlighten me on this. Do you mean they are a different length?
First, let me say AWESOME hair! I love the "Thor" type hair - blonde, straight. Looks amazing.
As far as bangs go, I personally have a passion for hair all one length. I encourage you to do what YOU want, but I personally think all one length would look amazing on you (And make me even MORE jealous. :-) )

Incidentally, is that your natural colour, or have you coloured it?
Natural- women get jealous and comment how they have to pay to have it like that. It lightens a lot in the sun during the summer, and each year just adds to the next with the sun's highlights.

Definitely! Your bangs are hardly noticable, the effect is quite subtle but it's doing what you want it to do. You also have very healthy hair.
I know exactly what you mean. I just trimmed the front a little for the same reason . . . receding hairline. I suppose I should consider myself quite fortunate that at my age - 51 - I still have a full head of hair and the receding situation is not all that drastic. But the "bangs" swept to the side does do a great job of concealing the "higher forhead". And besides, I really do like it that way.
I only wish my hair was as long as yours, and as healthy and great looking.
I really like your hair it looks so healthy, I think the swept to the side looks very good. But i dont think it hides the reciding hait line. Have you ever thought of having a middle parting ??
