I have a few questions. Thanks in adavance for everyone who reads this and helps me out! Lately i have noticed my hair clumping together. It's kind of like tangles, but not quite as bad. It's more matted and clumped together in some isolated parts. It takes a lot of time to get theclumps out. How do I deal with this? It kind of makes part of my hair in the back stick out more. I have almost mid back thick, wavy hair. Also what are the best brushes to use and any brushing techniques recommended? I do go running and use a headband. I don't think a headband would cause the clumping would it? I want to take better care of my hair and have it look neater wearing it down since I barely ever pull it back and prefer it down. What are the best shampoos/conditioners to get for thick , wavy mid back hair that sometimes can get a little dry? Also what about the use of jojaba oil? Thank you so much for your help! I know these are alot of questions, but thanks so much cause you guys seem really educated on these things.
With long hair you sometimes just have to Detangle, the easiest way to do this is to gently rake your fingers through your hair separating any tangles you encounter gently. I do this several times a day.
I also use (separate) conditioner whenever I wash my hair, and I avoid scrunching my hair up when I rinse it or when I dry it. Instead I just pat it dry. This creates much fewer tangles.
As for brushing and combing, I find that brushing the underside of the hair helps prevent it fliping outwards and helps keep it lying flatter. I comb my hair 2-3 times a day to keep it tangle free.
Hope that helps. We have similiar hair types so this info should be pretty relevant.
