Picture Purged
Hi - sorry for afflicting you with yet another photo - I was just wondering, since I'm so happy with the condition of my hair, is it likely that this condition will fade over time??
Or should it stay this soft and strokeable even when it gets old and shoulder-length?

damn that picture's big... sorry.
That's positive :)
With the filled screen it got me feeling I was in the computer and you were looking in. Eerie, but neat. Being nosy and peeking around you into the room I was wondering what was on the wall, looked like a drawing of someone with long reddish brown hair trailing all around.
Oh, and as for the condition question, I felt down my length and even the nine-year-old ends were as soft as the top. Shoulder length will easily keep the same qualities you want, especially with your coconut oil use.

That's really weird - there's no drawing of someone like that on my wall - but that's what my girlfriend looks like. Good job - you psychic? lol
I have painted Calvin and Hobbes on the wall, and my name, and the Silence of the Lambs face. Oh, and there's a dreamcatcher adn my Metallica concert tickets from the last 4 years they've come :)

Skin, hair, and nails change as you age. That is just a part of the ageing process. But just because they change, does not mean they have to be unattractive. You can have attractive dark brown/black hair at 25, and you can have attractive silver hair at 45.
True... Although at my rate, it'll be attractive silver hair at 30!
But will the hair condition change as the hair gets longer - since the hair at the bottom is older, is it harder to keep well conditioned?
heh heh, what do you mean?!
How did you get that style, what did you use, or do with your hair, it looks really good!.
I think thats a really cool style to have while in the growing out stage, and my hair is about as long too, but I can't get it like that, thats why I would like some tips, plz!
Thanks man
My hair seems to be turning silver at an increasing rate. This time a year ago I could could the hairs... now I've even given up plucking them... worse still, I found a silver hair..... 'down there' thee other day :(
Ah well.... adds character I guess.
I just wash my hair then make a rough parting (a neat one looks too preppy) then put a small amount of brycreem gel in the front so when its dry it holds there... that's it.... oh, and a little coconut oil never goes amiss if it's a dry day.
I love the look and color of your hair. It's considerably shorter than what most on here would consider long. I've had mine at your length many times.
Sorry if it's been asked before but what are you ultimate hair goals?
Thanks man, that's not a problem - my goal length is about shoulder length, but that's by no means certain - if it gets there and I wanna keep going, I'll just go for it.
5 months in the making... grown from a buzz. Now about 5 and a half inches... hope it keeps growing at this rate...
Oh, by the way has anyone else noticed eating food with omega 3 oils (like salmon/trout) gives your hair better condition and shine???

I am several inches past sholder length and the old hair at the bottom is still soft as ever. If you're only going for sholder length I think you have nothing to worry about.
1.) Not really fade all that much...........but here I am thinking 2-3' in length. The hair has been around a long time by then and the ends may have diminished in thickness just a bit.
2.) YES!
You are in the drivers seat so to speak with hair such as yours. It looks great!
Wow! Your hairs growing really well, and looking great. As for deteriation in quality - don't think so (well, not noticably); not if you continue to keep it maintained as well as you hhave so far. Also, correct me if i'm wrong, but i notice that you hair seemed to have some sort of styling product on it. I was just wondering what product you used in the pic to style your hair, some kind of wet gel...? I would appreciate it if you could let me know :P
Well done so far - keep it up!
I use brylcreem gel - it does have denatured alcohol in it, but thankfully doesn't seem to dry my hair any - maybe the coconut oil stops that...?
I would only use a wee touch, while my hair is still wet. Works better than using a whole load on dry hair... and I'm sure it's not as bad for your hair.
