I think the combination of dark hair and blue eyes is really cool. I'm very attracted to women that have this.
I have blue eyes but when I dyed my hair black in the past it didn't seem to fit my complexion. Did I just dye it too black or would any darker shade not really work for me? Are certain complexions limited to what color looks good on them?

Would hair any darker not fit my complexion?

Won't do this again.
You forgot to dye your eyebrows, dude. They don't match the rest of your hair anymore.
That may be why black hair didn't suit you either.
My two cents....
Bill
I tend to side with Bill 100% on this one. My Two Cents worth also.
Nice pic....mmmmnnnmmm liv btw in this pic she's had the colour of her eyes enchanced (her eyes are a very nice blue already but that blue is just unnatural), and probably her skin brushed ever so slightly (because she's just perfect in real life too!!) but she'll still have lots of makeup on.... not that you want to look like liv lol.
Black hair looks good with any complexion, but I guess its more contrasting and striking the paler you are. The reason it may have looked wierd is because very few caucasian(sp?) people have true black hair, most have dark brown hair which looks black. But if you dye you hair blue black, or just jet black it may not look right....I'd say if you wanted to darken your hair you'd be best to dye it the darkest shade of brown you can find, alternatively aveda do a colour depositing conditioner called black malva and a shampoo which can darken your hair without damaging it.... tho you'll need to use a reg conditioner with the black malva one cause its not very conditioning (or use a leave in). This will darken your hair to a natural looking darkness. If you wanted to change your complexion to go with your hair you can do but it would take more time... if you wanted it lighter you could get an aha gel/cream or retinol product, or something with a small amount of hydroquinone in it...and using a sunscreen daily would give you lighter skin (its a bit more complicated than that tho, but its the basic idea).... bit drastic tho just to match your hair colour!!
As for certain hair colours and complexions, id say the lighter your hair the lighter you complexion should be for a natural look. Red hair tends to be natural for people with very pale skin due to the chromosomes (I cant remember exactly why but its always red hair accompanied with skin that wont tan only burn like nicole kidman). Dark hair can look good whatever your complexion but it probably looks more striking on pale skin... but I guess more 'healthy' looking if you've got a bit of colour in you (since woman can wear makeup they can achieve whatever complexion they want). Red hair would look wierd with a tan. Blond looks good if your pale, and I guess tanned if your not a natural blond....but natural blonds again tend to have skin that doesnt tan so good... its all related to melanin which colours your hair/skin.
Sometimes I think ones natural Complexion works best for them. I can't help but wonder if the photo shown is of a Woman with Blue Eyes.............that is "Blue Contacs" and not her real eye colour?
Just my opinion, but I think Blue goes a bit better on lighter hair (Blond-different shades of Brown.) Could it be Blue Eyes with Black Hair (if all natural) is rather rare? Never thought of it until now.
