Picture Purged
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to share a pic of my "first ponytail" or more specifically the first time I've tied a ponytail and managed to keep all the hair in it for the better part of the day. I was really surprised how long the tail looked too, as I'm normally used to having the hair at the back kick up a few inches, tieing it in a tail really showed its length.
Not sure if the look is really me, shows up my big ears now my hair isn't around them ;-) But on the plus side its really nice to feel the air on my neck again and not have my hair falling in my mouth when I eat. :-)
Comments, Questions, Flares, Praise all welcomed.
I think it looks great. I'd like to see some other angles... If it isn't you I understand, but I am really looking forward to the day I can tie a ponytail. I was overjoyed when I discovered I could put my hair behind my ears...
Looks good, I can't wait till I can do that. ~Peace~ Blonde
I sure know where you are coming from on that one. Ponytail looks fantastic...........nice and full and healthy! What is the average length of your hair at present? Me? About 12-1/2."
I'm only at about 9 inches at the moment, dunno exactly I haven't measured.
My bangs fall more or less to my chin, the sides to just below the jawline and the back to just past my shoulders.
Sorted
Measuring for myself is kind of a funny thing..........perhaps it is just me? So, I take an "average." Shortest at present is 11-1/2 inches. Longest, just about 13." You might just out of curiosity measure yours someday.
Again, that Ponytail is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!
Justin
Thanks :-)
PS: I'll measure soon and let u know... ;-)
My pleasure always.

Hmm Somethings wrong my reply to PaleHunter has vanished, and the link to my reply in his message appears to take you to blondes message.
Very weird, is this just me or a problem with the board?
Anyway here's a photo from "another angle as requested"
Your new ponytail (Congratulations!) is a very hot topic! You and Blonde posted at exactly the same time and he mostly won. I had to disentangle the two posts. In this case, the siamese twin that survived the separation was "him".
Cheers Bill. Thanks for clearing that up...
"him". What's that supposed to mean?
When giving the answer to a question, one often puts the answer in quotes. Sorry for some reason that bothered you man. We come from different places and sometimes we're working with different Englishes, I guess. Certainly, no insult was intended, whatever the imagined insult might be.
It's quite all right, I did take offense because of the quotes surrounding it. I am quite sensitive though. ~Peace~ Blonde
I get where you're coming from blonde -I tend to be hypersensitive too, but don't stress. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say I think you're cool, and you seem like a really nice genuine guy.
And from what I've deduced from Bill and his personality, I'm sure he'd never say anything to intentionally offend.
Take care.

Fantastic ! The joy of the first successful ponytail ! (I remember it well). I am green with envy, especially re your non-receding hairline.
BTW, your ears only look average size to me.
Pics look great. Love the tail. Glad you acheived this goal. I know that you have the itch which is very cool. I think that you spoke before about the OCD that you had regarding haircuts. How did you overcome that?
Anyway...You get props today for your look way to stick with it.
Steve
Thanks for the compliment Steve, really appreciate it.
As for OCD's, I guess growing my hair out wasn't just a long standing goal I'd had since Childhood, it was also therapy. :-)
I over came it by making growing long hair my no.1 priority, and forcing everything else come second to that. This was the only way I could overcome the OCD. Its a matter of mentally reorganising what's important and fighting back against the compulsions.
In many ways fighting OCD os like battling drug addition, you can't give in to the dependence on the compulsive actions. This is really hard because you become pyschologically dependent on them for your mental well beign. Its the most difficult thing I have every had to overcome.
Fantastic ! It shows it can be done.
Looks great, sorted.
You're a lucky man - can't wait to reach that length myself. As for your ears, I think they look good - everyone has character in their looks. Hated my nose for ages, but now I wouldn't part with it.
Hearing about you completing another 'stage' of growth is inspirational - keep it up man :)

I like it! I think it is a cool look. In my opinion, it would be cool if you switched it up a lot, like if one day you wore it in a ponyatil, the next down, and however else.... that would be cool I do think.
Looks awesome. I'm really looking forward to that point, figure I've got about a year or so to wait.
Looks fantastic Sorted...your hair looks very healthy and of similar thickness to mine - I can't wait until I've reached the point where I can pull off a pony tail. I know you posted this earlier, but at what month were you able to pull off the half-ponytail?
Cheers,
Johnno
Thanks Johnno :-)
To answer your Question, I first managed the half tail at about 11 months. It wasn't a true half-tail though cos I didn't gather all the hair above my ears into the tail only the top-most layers. But it looked pretty decent all the same.
Infact I could only just manage a full half-tail in the past couple of months. (Now approaching 16 months.) Generally the half-tail works from about the time your bangs reach 1/2 inch past your mouth.
Looks great! Congrats on getting to this stage, it's really a big milestone isn't it? It was with me anyway, thought "I'm finally getting there!"
Cheers
Shiny, with various tones throughout.
Nicely shaped tail! Yes, you can be proud of it.
Congratulations!
Thanks Luckskind, much appreciated.
Great photo.
congratulations
Dude, great looking ponytail, and from this point forward, as your hair gets longer, it just gets easier and better. Absalom
Very Nice !!! Keep it growing!!!!
Thanks for the great response and the positive feedback from everyone here.
Guess its another milestone under my belt, really appreciate the feedback.
Thanks Guys
Now if you could put your hair under your belt, it would be an even bigger milestone!
Silly reply. Warm evening. I blame the Old Peculier.
Need I say more? Your ponytail looks really nice.
Hola chico,
I think you've come a long way Mr. Trimster... Congrats on the growth and the nice ponytail. Keep up the great work.

Not just any milestone, but =the= milestone. Congratulations for sticking it out, looking good, and it gets easier from here on.
