Well im suprised no ones mentioned it yet, but what do you all think of the troy characters hairstyles? I thought i'd like achilles' but it looked really greasy on screen which looked great in armour but in modern day clothing you'd never get away with it (colour was nice tho), but the way it was styled looked good. I actually really liked hectors, the colour was really good (id love to know what colour they used cos im wanting lowlights of a similar colour) it looked really good again... but it was a tangled mess I suppose. I'm really jealous of orlando blooms hair, he's got the best curly hair ive seen on a guy, he actually had it chemically straightened lately to my amazement... I guess the grass really is greener.
I loved the film, felt really sorry for hector, eric bana was a great actor in it. Lots of people have bashed it for not following The Illiad properly but it was just called Troy so I'll let them off, was a little inconsistent tho.... but I loved it!
Watched it on Saturday. It's pretty good. And yeah, every time I saw Bradd Pitt's hair I was like "I want that hair, but black!".
I think he played the character very well. Achilles certainly had a really cool fighting style too!
And I felt sorry for Hector too.
Well, There were no gods in this one. They were everywhere in Homer's Illiad. This movie attempted to strip away all the mythological "tall tale" back story from the story, and pretty much succeeded in bring the viewers, a believable account of the trojan war. Sure a few of the precision-thrown spears reeked of hollywood magic, but all in all it was a good, entertaining movie. I was never a fan of Brad Pitt, or many of the beautiful, hollywood stars, unless their stage/screencraft spoke as much for itself, as their looks. Brad Pitt, however gave a good performance as Achilles, and was clearly suited for the role.
I've had a crush on Eric Bana ever since Black Hawk Down. : )
Totally agree with ya on that!!
