One of the largest gaming conventions, Gen Con, is held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin each summer. Everyone from video gamers to Star Trek fans to tech people flock to this convention.
The great majority of the attendees I saw on the streets were males and the majority of them had long hair-- including undercuts, mullets and the long all-around styles. There were even a few goths (complete with capes, combat boots, piercings, tattoos and of course, jet-black long hair).
We held a rummage sale this weekend, and some of the conventioneers stopped by- some really liked my books on Apples and Macs; we also had some Hispanic men who had ponytails. One of them brought up a good point, though, "rummage sales: not just for women anymore." I liked that! I thought, "Yeah, long hair: not just for women anymore."
