I dont know if its just me but I always get scared that some jerk is gonna sneak up on me and cut a piece of my hair off. One night I had a dream that some guy gave me a crew cut and I woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat! I grabbed my head and thank god the hair was still there. Am I freaking out or what?
I had about 2 nightmares. Both of 'em the same. My parents forced me to get a haircut and everything gets shaved off. Man the second I woke up I looked straight into the mirror and was relieved...
Well if its any consolation I'm just as Freaky as you.
I too have regular dreams whereby someone has cut my hair and I generally wake up in a cold sweat.
I'm also very nervous around some people who are holding sissors, I watch them like a hawk and I can't relax until the sissors have been put away.
I Guess I'm just scared witless of going through the past 16 months all over again. :-)
The only nightmare about hair I've had was at the time when I had long dreads, and I dreamt I was shaving, and the shaver slipped and cut off a few of them, leaving it all ruined.
That was pretty bad.
I've had long hair for years never had a problem with others.
I was nervous about it too, a suggestion if you're going
into a situation that looks threatening, tuck your hair under
your shirt or jacket.
Actually back when I first started growing my hair out I had that fear, but after having grown it out for a while the fear went away. Now my fear is that itll have a short terminal length. so far so good though.
I think we've all had similar nightmares. As for protection against that situation, watch you back, tucking in you shirt or jacket is a good idea, but also remember, a tail can help restrain your hair, and also make it much easier to grab a hold of and chop it all off!
Oh my God i have the exact same thing i am soo scared at school, i dont ware my hair any different in caca anybody notises. Well my advice is al you go into a lesson just scann the room and see if you will be using siccors in that lesson and thats about all you can doo. Also dont let anybody stand behind you allways turn round !!

Yes...yes, you are freaking out. Just make sure that it's not you who ends up doing the cutting (that's usually what happens).
Kind of like guns where more people are killed by their own guns that by stranger's guns. Many of the guys that come to this board and obsess over their hair end up cutting it after a time anyway. This means that the one most likely to cut your hair is...you. Decide what your long term goal is now and stick to it so you can see what it's really like when you get there.
