Hi guys, a couple weeks ago, I went into a cosmetics-type place with lots of upscale hair products, and got a fairly high-quality shampoo and conditioner that they recommended to me, since I read on this board that in the realm of upscale hair products, sometimes paying more is actually worth it, and not necessarily just paying for some elite B.S. brand name, like with clothes. The name of those products are Multiplicity: Dimensions Texture shampoo and conditioner (not a 2 in 1), and I'm happy with them so far.
Anyway, on to the point of this message, while I was at the store, I also bought a deep conditioner called Original Terax Cream that they recommended to me, which I haven't gotten around to using yet. The ingredients don't look so great with all the alcohol stuff: Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Parfum Fragrance, Lauryl Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Hyrdrogenated Tallotrimonium Chloride, Ceteareth-3, Hydrogenated Tallow glycerides, Myristyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, T.E.A.
Or does that seem normal for a DEEP conditioner? If not, can you recommend a good deep conditioner? How often and for how long do you use it?
I wouldnt use anything in my hair that contains alcohol. My hait tends to be dry. Alcohol will dry it more than the conditioners.
I'm top posting for the heck of it, but yep terax cream is a
good intensive cond, not as popular as redken all soft tho. And the alcohols listed are fatty alcohols which act as emoliants/moisturisers which your totally getting confused with bad alcohols, tho sadly I do believe isopropyl alcohol is not which does have a potential drying/ irritating effect as its absorbed into your skin.... also two in ones are only fine if you use a clarifyer every couple of washes, and really its best to poo'/cond seperately
