OK, so after seeing all the pics, I realize that maybe it's about time that I finally buy one (so it's a somewhat related topic to this board). I'm looking for something under $200 if possible or thereabouts, and probably won't need to print out pictures. So I don't need the most megapixels possible obviously :)
I like Fuji's line of digital cameras. Olympus also has some nice cameras to.
Don't choose Practika camera's they are very unreliable, as well as AGFA. Kodak, Olympus, and Samsung are very good makes you might want to consider. You can get a very good digital camera for well under $200. My Samsung Digimax 301 has got everything including movie mode with sound and 3.2 megapixels for only £100 - £120.
To make this post relevant, all I can say is that by buying the camera, we can all see your *hair*. Notice the keyword, hair!
Ok now I go....
I
I got a Kodak digital camera and I love it. CX6330.
BTW, if you put on USA Willie Nelson and his great hair are
on now.
Hmm with $200 Your unlikely to get anything which takes photos at a suitable resolution to print anyway... ;-) For a decent camera you probably need to increase your budget
That said the things to look for with a DigiCam are the following:
- The Best resolution (MegaPixels) You can afford. Seek 3.0 Megapixels or higher.
- Decent Size Memory Card 64 MB (you need a larger one if you have a higher resolution camera.)
- USB connection (easiest to install & pretty fast transfers)
- Optical Zoom (Digital Zoom reduces quality)
- Red Eye Flash
For $200 you are not going to get to many of the above, least not in Europe. $300-$350 on the other hand will buy you most of the above.
Hope that helps

I just saw the Camera I own (Olympus C300 Zoom) for 215 Euros on Clearance in a store near where I work ($225).
Its a great all around camera: 3.0 Megapixel 3x Optical Zoom, USB, Red-eye Flash, LCD, lets you capture 30 secs worth of video, Comes with either a 16 or 32 MB smart media card.
The only draw back it has is that there is no rapid-fire mode, you have to wait 20-30 seconds between shots which make it useless for action shots.
