I thought of this the other day, after reading a few pleas for HELP through the awkward stage of longhair.
(Sung to the tune of "Help" from The Beatles)
Help, I need somebody,
Help, not just anybody,
Help, you know I need someone, help.
When I had short hair, so much shorter than today,
I never needed anybody’s help in any way.
But now my hair is long, I’m not so self assured,
Now I find I’ve changed my mind and accessed the hyperboard.
Help me if you can, it's out of hand
I have a yearning to become a long hair man.
Help me get my hair in a ponytail band,
Won’t you please, please help me.
And now my hair has changed but I just suffer through,
The shower stall is packed with gels, pomade and glue.
But every now and then I feel like getting shorn,
But I know that I want hair like Kurt Cobain or Aragorn.
Help me if you can, it's out of hand
This stupid awkward stage I just can't stand.
Help me look like a drummer in a heavy metal band,
Won’t you please, please help me.
So now I'm on day twelve of the two week rule,
I still get funny looks from friends at work and school.
But now some days I think I'll give my head a buzz
And donate all those awkward folicles to Locks of Love.
Help me if you can, it's out of hand
It's iritating to be called, "Ma'am,"
Help me look like that movie star man,

Brilliant! Maybe we can get sme of the musicians on this board together to make a disc.

Yes.........for some this "Awkward Stage" drives them bananas!
The ONLY help is that which comes from within. If you REALLY want to be a Longhair it will be automatic.
Just stick it out as best as you can. The reward far out-weighs what you Are going through now.
"IF" you DO give-in and have it cut off...........you will be like the many that have done the same and regret it almost right away and start growing-it out all over again.
Hang in there. Really. You can make it..........and once there this frenzy will be history.
