I did a google image search on long hair styles and when I found an interesting image, it led me to an anti-longhair/hippie group.
It's at www.devo.com/tft/hippie/
These guys sound like a bunch of complaining old ladies who are still bitter over the increase of longhaired men. THE 60's ARE OVER!!! But yet these guys beleive that the aftermath of Woodstock has been going on for over 40 years!
Please, do these guys have anything better to do in their lives than contribute to a hate-website? Get Real.
It's a satire site, but I was hoping there actually was an anti-longhair group to give me even more inspiration to grow my hair than I already have.
Wow, that was a quick reply
Gosh That is the most ignorant Piece of crap, I have ever read.
IT actually promotes violence against Long Hairs. I guaruantee if Anybody actually tries any of that stuff they will be beat up by so called non violent Hippies, killed, or locked in jail for the rest of their lives. This is a pseudonazi site.
They are actually promoting Terrorism against Longhaired people and Hippies. Hmmm the Patriot Act could have some use hair. I would love to see the kid who made that site behind bars for inciting Terrorism.
P.S. I'm not a hippie or a pothead, nor is anyone esle on this site I believe.
I'm pretty hippy, but I'm also technically oriented.
and I don't smoke pot, but I do smoke Salvia D. and if pot were legal, I would smoke it.
THat "Ball" Guy
.: P.S. I'm not a hippie or a pothead, nor is anyone esle on this site I believe.
Yes I am! (Notice I didn't specify which one!)
I'm sitting here wearing a tie-dye shirt with a 'peace' logo. Really, I'm not making that up!
Reminds me of maddox' site... the best site in the universe, after this one of course. http://maddox.xmission.com/
Where there's love there will be hate. So sayith master Yoda.
LOL! Is that thing real man? Hippies aren't exactly that common these days. Sure I do own a Gratefull Dead hippie shirt but that doesnt make me a hippie, it makes me a fan of the Gratefull Dead :D. The only hippie I know is this 60 year old homeless dude...
Blatently a mikey take.

Hmmmm, I thought that site had disappeared.
Someone brought it up a few years ago but the link appeared to have died after a time. I had sent it over to the FBI due to the section that described how to violently handle hippies: methods of poisoning, brutal beatings, shooting, etc. Sounds a lot like terrorism to me (that part isn't satirical).
How right you are, it is terrorism. I took a brief look at it and it looks quite hideous to me. Freedom of speach definitely does not apply when it describes techniques for poisoning, maiming, and killing people. It is a criminal act and should be treated as such. Absalom
Just curious, what sort of response did you get from the FBI? I wonder if a site that talks about ways to kill "dirty hippies" would get the same legal attention as one that threatened violence against a race or ethnic group.
There is no response, they just accept information.
I guess that there wasn't much they did with it if the site is still up without changing anything.
I somewhat surprised that reports to the FBI or vigilanties haven't taken that web site off the Internet. That web site is still a terrorist site because it advocates unprovoked violence and mass murder. I guess the web site is left there to remind the "good" people to remember that we must maintain our right to possess weapons, the ability to fight and keep our government prepared to defend us against other nations that try to take away our freedoms.
Just looked at the site - looks pretty threatening but I wonder if it's a spoof - I've seen other wierd spoof sites, this reminds me of them. Since there are some pretty intimidating looking biker/goth style longhairs about these days I think the anti-hippie guy might be pushing his luck if he attacks one of them!!!
Cheers, Barry
As one of the original hippies from the 60s
I have the following thoughts:
1. The group was founded in 1995. I was one of the first
original hippies back in the 60s.
2. Before someone slams hippies or the hippie culture
they should experience the events of the time that
contributed to it: a war in Viet Nam that was very unpopular
(especially if you were draft age). Many of the hippies
in that era were men and women who hated the idea of the Viet Nam war, didn't want to be drafted into it, and didn't want
their freinds/brothers/etc. sent over to Viet Nam in a senseless
war.
Here is a thought: maybe you shouldn't slam hippies
until you are 17 in your senior year in high school and
facing the idea that next week you WILL be drafted to go
to Viet Nam. I know too many who went to Viet Nam to
fight and die.
I would remind these people that we had soldiers die
in past wars to guarantee the rights of people
like hippies to voice their opinions.
