I think I could do my first ponytail at about 18 months.
From what I can see, it looks like you have nice straight hair that won't do the 'big' awkward phase. Would it be possible to take a better pic ? - the one you've posted is rather blurred. Maybe a back shot too.
Yea a better pic would be better, may be due to the camera, but looks like you've just been punched in the face.
I can't do a ponytail yet, but I'm around four inches behind Sorted's hair and he can make a ponytail, I grow at 1 inch/month, so won't be long.
Pony tails are best done when all of the hair can be tied back at the middle of the back of head or at the neck. When I tie back my hair, which isn't often at all, it kind of looks good with my undercut, but I'm growing it back, so it'll soon start to look crap with a pony tail until the undercut's long enough to tie back.

Hi, it looks like you have some growing to do before you can get it into any sort of practical pony. When I was growing mine out I needed to get the front of my hair (the bangs you call em right?) at least an inch or two past the bottom of my chin. Ell
