Hi
Can any one tell us if
wetting the hair slightly with water using the palms of our hands
is good for the hair?
Because I have to do prayers 5 times a day and this requires that I make ablution 5 times a day, wetting the hair with the palms are a requirement.
Thanks
As long as the water isn't polluted I guess there isn't a problem.
Seems to me like if you can wash your hair in freshwater and it doesn't damage it, wetting it slightly won't either. I do it all the time to temporarily keep flyaways on my head.
What I do is fill up a spray bottle with water and spray all of my head. Takes no more that 10 seconds.
That's a nice idea. Sometimes I wish I had a spray bottle for water with my hair. Now I'm going to get one

I do this several times a day. Helps to keep the "flyaways" down when windy.
... to scallop their fretboard
the things yngwie malmsteen made me go through in hopes of being as fast as him LOL
Yep. I hear ya'!
I didn't scallop this one, it started as somebody's project. The neck was $100 and the body was $60.
Unfortunately, I don't play very much these days, so my fingers have forgotten where they're supposed to go.
I would say yes, because it will help to spread natural oils from your scalp and down your hair. Those natural oils help to protect your hair. Just be sure to do this gently so you do not snag your hair in the process. Absalom
I don't think small amounts of water would harm the hair. Wetting hair may have evolved from a tradition maybe originating from wetting hair to stay cool in summer--especially in the desert regions in the middle east. Many people think hair only keeps people warm (when kept dry), but it can keep people cool by wetting the hair in summer.
According to hairdressers excssive water is not good for hair. The alkhaline in water cause damage if your hair is exposed to too much water.
