Hey there,
My stache is considered long by most. It is a modified handlebar in that it hangs down to below my lower lip but has the traditional curl on either side. How long is your stache?
I too have the same problem when eating. It really cannot be avoided easily. I guess that if you were to bring your hamburger up from under it, that would lift your stache up away from your mouth. As for the ice cream, don't worry about it. Call it leftovers for later. :)
Now, onto the a long beard. Today, (an hour and 20 minutes ago), I stepped out of the shower after trimming my approx 1.5" beard back to 1/4". I'd been planning this for a while. You see, I wanted to do this yesterday because it was my birthday and I wanted to be able to have an exact starting date of when my "long" beard started growing and to keep track of its growth.
Hey, if you have the courage to have hair past your ass, you certauly have the courage to grow a long beard. As Nike says, "Just Do it!" :)
OOPS! I originally posted my response in the wrong thread. Here it is again:
Well, let's see. My moustache is about 3-4 cm long at the sides -- about 2 cm in the middle (it
doesn't seem to grow longer there). My beard is currently about as long as a 3 1/2 inch diskette if I
pull the hair straight. It is close to the longest it has ever been.
The question is not so much whether I have the courage to grow out my beard but whether I really
want a long beard. I'm not sure if I do or not.
Hey all, I never thought of my mustache as being long until I went
to Bush Gardens Tampa with a friend. We rode the rollercoasters
Kumba & Montu (great rides by the way) & while on Kumba, I couldn't
figure out what was stinging my face. After a couple seconds of confusion I realized that it was the sides of my mustache. Now they reach to my eyes. One drawback though is getting it caught in a can of soda. I use straws when possible. Take it easy.
As far as eating I just make sure I have lots of napkins around. With an ice cream cone its sort of like lick and wipe.
