I'm talking about the little hairs that never grow more than an inch or two and are real curly and rough, almost like sideburns. They're a nuisance when I try to do a ponytail or wear a baseball cap, I'm considering just buzzing them off (well not completely off, but really short). Has anyone else tried this?
What people do with neck hairs is individual and largely depends on the thickness of growth and contrast between skin color and hair color. I used to shave mine but recently switched to using a beard trimmer with no guard. The following link takes you to my February 2004 Extra Bonus pictures page. Scroll down to "Before and After". This section shows my neck hair scraggly and shaved in a side-by-side comparison. There is also a review of the beard/neck hair trimmer I use in the 'tech' section of my website.

BTW, when you start looking for neck hair it is *amazing* (to me anyway) how many people have it!
I also like the "cleaned-up look" best Gollan. It seems to give a certain "polish" as well as "high class" look to the person. (Too "scruffy," at least for myself the other way.) When I wear my hair down it wouldn't matter...........but the Ponytail is another story. I've been doing it for the last 6 months at least. Ha ha ha.......it can be a little bit tricky using a rear-view mirror to get the job done. I have been using a simple "Buzzy" such as Barbers use and do a "clean up" about every 2 weeks on my neck. Only takes a few minutes but you really have to watch that Tail! One slip and a clump of a years worth of hair can be easily removed by accident. (A horrid thought indeed!)
Works best for me to have the hair in a Tail to begin with. Drape the tail over one or the other shoulders. When done with that side fling the tail the other direction to finish the other half and presto............you're done.
I shaved my neckhair completely off in late February, and I feel it was a mistake. My hair is pretty thin, so they didn't really bother me, but I just did it because people were recommending on here.
Anyway, they are still growing back, but you can't tell because they tie into my hair tie. Basically, don't do anything you're not sure of.
i think it's weird that something which you cannot physically see bothers you that much

I would suggest that you shave them a couple of tiem s a week - looks much better. Take care not to damage your hair the first few times but when you get used to it it is OK.
You can try plucking(with a tweezer)or waxing it. I tweezed mine recently for the first time, because it gets to be such a pain in the ass shaving it every week and a half. Not sure if it's such a good thing to do though.
Unless you have an incredibly hairy neck, I personally think it looks a lot better if you leave them alone.
