I took part in a photoshoot yesterday, which was pretty tedious, and far too sweaty - sometimes I wish that we believed in air conditioning over in London. However, amongst the reams of terrible photographs, mainly before my hair got too frazzled, there were a handful I liked:
The above pictures represent four-and-a-half year's growth, starting from a fairly closely shaved head. I gave up on trimming about a year ago and just let my splits do their thing now. For the past six months I've been washing my hair roughly once a week with Johnson's brand of baby shampoo: I feel that it gets the job done without going overboard.
Hope you like the pics, and keep growing!
Hi Resonance
Your hair is without question absolutely fantastic! I am sure I am not the only one that could only "wish" for such a mane. Alas, guess I am looking at 2 more years to catch up with you. SENSATIONAL! (But, you did put in your 4 years and the rewards cannot be missed.)
I don't believe I have ever known of someone with all of the attributes you have. Superb intelligence, Artistic creative writings that would befit a Genius, a kind and gracious attitude always...............and now easily evident of model material.
Thanks so much for sharing the photos with the Hyperboard. I dare say hair such as this will inspire some of the meekest on the board to throw all caution to the wind and let theirs grow!
My best to you as always.
Justin
My best wishes to you as always, Justin. Thank you for the compliments!
Terrible you say, far from it! I love your hair, it's long and shows off your artistic flair, including your avatar pic, looks awesome.
I'm sure you have encouraged many many people to grow their hair out, and not to follow the buzz crowd.. Air conditioning not working, wow, I feel sorry for you, it's 28c here and I'm baking lol.
Absolutely Awesome Resonance. Your hair just looks brilliant. Period!
Sorted
PS: I think your gonna get a lot of fan mail from those photos.
Actually, I have to post again because I'm concerned I might have understated how Excellent your hair looks.
Its ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!!

Hey Ben, sorry for not replying earlier - I completely missed your questions somehow.
I'm very happy with the length my hair is now, but I'm just going to let it keep growing to see what my terminal limit is.
Thanks for the kind words!
nice hair!!
Your 4 years of growing hair made me think of the Oprah Winfrey show several days ago. They had a makeover program, and there was some older guy (I believe he was in his late 50s) on it who hadn't cut his hair in about 10 yrs. I was surprised because it wasn't very long, perhaps even shorter than yours. Something about his rather wispy, frail hair made me think it grew very slowly & apparently even stopped growing much at all after reaching a certain point. By contrast, if you don't snip your hair in 10 years, I'm by 2010 it will end up far longer than mid-back. (Incidentally, the older guy's hair was completely cut off, much to the delight of his wife and granddaughter)
Very cool, your lucky too cuz your hair is so straight, the length shows the most.
Actually you and me started at about the same time, so we're actually at about the same length, minus the fact that my hair tends to curl and I gave myself an undercut along the way.
Anyways, nice hair, and keep it growin!
Those are superb photos and you have fantastic hair. You might consider modeling. Thanks for the great photos. Best wishes. Absalom
Excellent hair, it is clear that you have taken very good care of it. Your results are an inspiration. Congratulations to the photographer for the great photography. I take it you are going to continue to let your hair grow? Thanks for the update. Good luck with your hair growth goals.

Thanks for the kind words, Gollan. I'll let it grow as far as it wants to, I think it's slowing down now, but I'm about finished with setting goals.
I'm so jealous of your hair, as is everyone. Well done, keeep it growing!
Very nice, but god I can understand why someone else feels that way too. I watch what I eat, walk and hike with the dog every day, do crunchies and pushups, and for a while lifted weights, something I may try again. I don't drink beer, I had like 5 drinks total last year, and I can't get anywere near definded midsection. And what makes it more frustrating is I bet that resonance drinks lots of beer, doesn't diet and eats whatever he wants, and probably never works out, and looks great. I know of other people like that too, mmst be genetic. Nothing personal man, But I am so frustrated by this too. Any secrets?
Anyway, hair looks amazing, and nice photos, why did you model, what are the pics gonna be for?
Very frustrated tom.
Cheers for the kind words, Tommy, you have very admirable locks yourself.
My father was very lean until his late thirties, and my mother has always been very slim and defined without doing much exercise. I think you're right to say that the genetic factor plays a big part.
However, I exercised nigh-on obsessively between the ages of 15-17, and I seem to have kept the definition I gained back then. I've never liked the idea of weight training, and I haven't had any structured regimes since I stopped a few years ago.
I'm a keen inline skater and have always considered skating on ramps to be one of the most physically demanding activities I've ever come across. I love cycling and do a lot during the summer months. My latest hobby is indoor rock climbing, which definitely is the most strenous thing I've ever done.
I don't drink a whole lot, maybe ten beers a month, but I definitely love eating. I stick to a mainly vegetarian diet and love eating a huge variety of fruit - everyone who knows me refers to me as the 'dustbin' at some point, since I can't bear to see anyone's food go to waste.
I'm vaguely entertaining the idea of doing some modelling work to earn some money, but I don't enjoy it very much, and would rather put the bulk of my energy into my band right now.
Awesome mane, suits to your facial features well. Looks really thick and healthy. Great hair color too. I'm envious ;)
Incredible hair, very inspiring to all, I'm sure. I'm a big fitness advocate myself, mostly weightlifting and mass building as of late, so I must compliment your physique as well.
Venturing off topic a bit, you mentioned dedicating most of your time to your band, what type of music?

Many thanks for the compliments, spodman.
Since our band has only been together half a year, we're still in the process of settling into a style. At the moment we play fairly grungy stuff, with some AC/DC blues-style rock thrown in. However, it seems to be the funky, riff-based rock songs that we play at our gigs that are the most well received.
I'm the singer and help to write the music, I sometimes play guitar with the band but prefer to be able to move around.
Breathtaking hair and length. Completely awe-inspiring.
You're not planning on cutting anytime soon are you? I know some people get "tired" of the hair. =/

Thanks, Brian.
I'd be surprised if I ever decided to go for a short style again. I really love having long hair and can't think of anything that would make me want to cut it off. I've never once got bored with the way it looks, and even if I did I'd resort to braids or beads before unleashing the scissors.
I'm under the same thinking about my hair.
Wow! Your hair is awesome man, I don't think I'll ever grow mine that long but your a great inspiration for my continuing growth. ~Peace!~ Blonde
Your hair looks really FANTASTIC..Incredible...Awe inspiring...to say the least. LOL. Kudos to the photographer, I think the photos came out awesome. I'm still one of your original fans, whatever that means. I just love the international aspect of this board. Thanks for sharing. I have a question, while I was in England, I didn't notice too many real long hair guys like yourself. I mean, we ran into a few, but they weren't too numerous. Perhaps that's changed...
Peace bro,
ck

Thanks for the kind words, ck.
There's certainly plenty of guys with longer styles of hair in London, but, as you observed, I don't often meet men who've grown it to or past the mid-back area. It depends a fair bit on where you go though - if you go to a rock club you'll be pretty much overwhelmed, so I guess most of them only come out at night!
Yes, these are the pictures I like and expect to see on a long hair support board for guys. You have fabulous hair!! Keep on growing!!!
Resonance,
I don't know what makes me hate you more...the fact that you have great looking hair or the fact that long hair just looks great on you!!!
Just kidding, man!
You have one awesome head of hair. I wish I had the same texture as yours and I certainly hope mine gets to be as long as yours is now.
I hereby designate you as my Favorite Longhair, a post formerly held by Jin, but we don't see him around anymore :(
Take good care of yourself and keep it growin! It looks great!!!
Brett
Cheers, Brett, your own progress has been a pleasure to witness. It is a shame we don't see much of Jin anymore, hopefully he's still wearing his hair the way he loves.
Breathtaking.
Great Pictures...may I ask what the length, in inches, of your hair is now?
Keep it growin
Hi Resonance
That's really great hair and a really great set of photos. Thanks for sharing them with us.
Mark.
They are ... I'm speachless! I would have loved them all, as you know. LOL
Your hair is so perfect!
