Hi today to my Tap/ Ballett/ Jazz calss i wore a pony tale it felt so good to finaly be brave enough to ware one out. Everyone there said oh i thought you have got a hair cut and then they said you have great hair so it would have been a shame to loose it. It was a realif to get all the hair out of my eyes while i was dancing, i heard somone say that keeping your hair off your neck is better for your hair?? is this true??
anayway just thought i would share that !!!
great that you were able to make it!
i doubt it, except if the extra tension on the hair is good for some reasoon :)
however, i find it really helps to bear the summer heat! :)

Boy that brings back memories.... I will never forget my first publicly worn ponytail. I felt self-concious, excited, and liberated all at once. Self-concious because I'd never had hair long enough to wear one before, excited because I was doing something for me instead of my parents, and liberated because the freedom I felt in expressing myself as an individual was unparalleled with anything I'd ever done before. I no longer looked like every other guy I'd seen walking the streets.
Grats, and well done!
having long hair and wearing a ponytail strenghtend my self confidence very much. the first time was just a great experience
Yeah I gotta agree with Michael, the first time I wore a ponytail out was a great experience. Extremely liberating.
PS: Ben I think you and me share a similar affliction - neither of us can spell - lol!
Yea i know what you mean Sorted i cant spell at all
ha ha ha
That's great! Yours is actually normal enough to wear in public, I decided I wouldn't mess with that until mine got a little longer. ~Peace!~ Blonde

I've fallen into the gradualist approach. I wear a ponytail if I'm working on the car or doing DIY, or if I'm out hiking or mountain biking. It's long enough now to tie back full-time, but it's still difficult to 'come out' fully as a ponytail.
I suppose I grew up in the prevous longhair era (60's and 70's), when very few men tied their flowing locks back here in UK as far as I can remember.
Cheers, Barry
