Hi everyone, as i have said before the hair roung the back of my head and ears is very dry at the tips.

2. It is just short term damage because of daily ware and tare like it allays rubbing against my collar all day, because it dosent have split ends they are just dry??
Any help would be thanked !!
PS: i dont want to have it cut !!!
Ben,
It could very well be genetics for you to have dry hair. It happens to a lot of us - case in point, me. I remember you posting a photo a few days ago with your hair blow-dried. I warn you, any heat applied to your hair will dry it out. Also, you dye your hair, right? (I might have confused you with someone else. If I did, I am sorry). If you do dye it, that will serverely dry it out. This will also make your hair more prone to splits.
For example, my mom had hair almost to her waist when she was in college. Now, at 51, she colors her hair and uses hot rollers and a blow-dryer on her hair quite often. She now has a terminal length of around a foot. I'm sure that if my mom buzzed her head and let her natural gray curls grow out, it would grow much longer. But to each his (or her) own.
I'd advise you to buy a hydrating conditioner. I use Physique Deep Hydrating conditioner and shampoo, which I find to be excellent.
Good luck!
