I've had my hair grown shoulder length for about a year now. I'm not positive, but I think mine started coming out soon after I got it long. I'm wondering is it natural for strands to come out very often? Say when I brush my hair, or run my hand through it. I usually end up having a strand or two everytime I do so. I don't get big patches or anything, nor am I going bald. But I am 20, and my hair is naturally pretty thin and I don't want to end up going bald. I always hear that strands always come out for women. Is this due to just having their hair long? Also, my hair is pretty damaged due to wind, heat, etc. so I have some pretty bad split/frayed ends and some fly-aways. Is my hair loss due to the damage, or it being long. Any suggestions on fixing my damaged hair, or why it may be coming out will be helpful.
I think that it is just that you notice it more when the hair gets long. If your hair was short, the hairs wouldn't catch in your brush or hand. But now that it is long, all the hair you shed becomes a lot more noticable. I have to clear out some shed hairs fom my bruch every time I use it. It's nothing to worry about.
i read somewhere you loose about 50 to 100 hairs a day......you dont have anything to worry about
Ditto on what the others have said. It's natural to notice that as your hair gets longer.
