I been writing several Novels so far, but I am having trouble finding a decent publisher. I write and edit all of my work, and I am really getting stressed out looking for someone to help me get some works published. I thought some of you fellow Long-Hairs could help me out.
Go to "Google", then type in "book publishers". From these selections you should find someone to help you out. If you're writing is of a certain type (fiction, adventure, sports, biography, gothic, etc.), you could add that to "book publisher gothic" (or whatever) and it will refine your search.
I know this answer probably sounds kind of lame, but unless you live in NYC or LA, where book publishers seem to flourish, an internet search is probably your best bet.
Best wishes, man. Josh
My genre is Action/Adventure/Gothic I do more stuff than that too. I already googled around too, but I will try again. Thanks for the advice
I can't contribute too much except to tell you that I've read part of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Getting Published" and found it to be very interesting. These books (as well as the "Dummies" books) are surprisingly astute and offer respectable advice. In my limited research on getting published, I do know any publishers or agents that charge a "reading fee" are to be avoided. Aside from that, the aforementioned book is a good place to start.
Good luck!
Jeremy
PS: I've heard quite a bit of talk about self-publishing lately. Could also be something to look into.
Yeah I was thinking about self-publishing, but around where I live would not be a good place for sales. I am very thankful for your advice.
thanks once again,
Dwayne
