I need some help. My hair is very fine. It looks great when just below my shoulders, but when it gets longer, it just seems to thin out. Right now, it's below my shoulder blades, and many people think it looks good, but I think it just looks too thinned out, and I'm ready to cut 5" inches off again. Can anything make it look thicker? Also, it's present length is as long as it ever seems to grow. Why is that?
I have got the same problem and wonder if there is
any solution also.
It sounds to me that you've reached your terminal length. Therefore don't expect it ever to get longer than this. At terminal length every individual hair basically has the same length and since each hair originates from another spot on your head you can imagine that the hairs from the back of your head grow out from under the hairs at the crown, thus creating a kind of layered look with a 'thinning' aspect to it.
If this is the case... well there's nothing you can do about it, I'm afraid, but I wouldn't worry either. Just enjoy it. After all, how many people (male or female) really know the maximum length their hair can reach?
