Hey, I grew my hair for 8 or 7 months and it was long enough for me to get a little of it to chew on( though I don't recongmend you do) and I was happy because for once I didn't care what I looked like, because the only hair cut I ever liked was the bull cuts. Then after that I had to get boys regular. I never liked getting a hair cut really, my mom kept me to keep doing it by saying "you would look like a girl if you don't" and that was when I was young like 7 or 9. Now when after I grew out my hair, I felt happy towards my appearance for once(in 10 years) because I controlled what I looked like and I looked attractive to me(and im not being full of myself). I wish I had a picture before my mom made me get it cut yesterday(which I still haven't gotten over) because everyday she harrased me that I wouldn't get a jog, girlfriend, or life. And at the time and moment, I didn't listen. Why? Well because this was the one thing I really liked about me(besides the fact im excellent with computers). I wish I could send a picture of me now. To be brief, Im blonde with a reverse-mullet, thats right, a reverse-mullet. As in short hair in back, long on top(but they cut some of that off too). I think I look ugly now then I did then, but my mom and sister totally disagree. My question is, should I just grow out my hair from what it is now and never let them talk to me about cutting it ever because I end up being missurable, or should I get a hair cut and start all over again from short-to bitch phase- to long as I did before the cut.?
Grow your hair how you feel like growing it. If you want to grow it out, get it cut before you do so it will look right. If you listen to your mom, she is just going to tear you down. Just do anything you want with your hair. That's right, It's "YOUR" hair. Reverse Mullet? sounds crazy lol :) Couldn't be anywhere near as ugly as an actual mullet
I think most of us have been there. I struggled with my parents for years over hair.
Now I'm middle-aged with kids of my own, and I would never subject them to the same thing. However, my son has short hair. He probably doesn't want long hair because he doesn't want to look like his dad!
You can win in the end, but it's not easy. It's important that you should be the one to choose where to get your hair trimmed, and that you should go on your own, or at least be left there on your own while you get your hair cut. I don't know how old you are.
Good Luck!

My friend has hair almost down to the middle of his back and his father also has long hair, only longer, and he's an church minister!. My friends brother also has long hair, but I think the mother has quite short neat hair. Strange, isn't it:)
