Quick question, what are the worst and best sulfates in shampoos?
Between Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Ammonium Laurel Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, and Sodium Laurel Sulfate?
The order, from most harmful to least harmful, is:
Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate
Ammonium Laureth Sulfate
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
Sodium Laureth Sulfate
Generally if any product has Ammonium at the start of its name that means it is harsh. Watch out brands like Suave have like 3 ammonuiums both the Ammonium Sulfates and Ammonium Chloride
Sodium Laureth Sulfate is the best.
Both ammoniums are worse than the sulfates, I can tell you that much.
Be careful when reading information from sites that are trying to scare you into buying their product. Double check!
There's a difference? lol Wait I got to see which one I have...
1) Sodium laureth sulfate
2) sodium cetearyl sulfate
My research shows about the big controversy about the products.
Apparently there had been an e-mail sent around the internet that sodium laureth sulfate caused cancer...but I looked at the Cosmetic Safety site and found to prove otherwise.
