OK, so I bought this hairdryer with a so-called built-in Ionizer. I said what the heck, I'll try it out...I don't see any difference after a few days of using. I am new on this board and I see that blowdrying can damage my hair. But my main question here is,, does the ionizer actually do anything to hair?? I admit, my hair is not long yet, only about 3" in length.. Haven't been to the barber in 2 months.

The Ionizer breaks down the water molecules so they can penetrate the hair shaft, and moisturise your hair. (These that's what the product web sites say.)
This is theoritically better for your hair, but still blowdrying on hot settings will still damage your hair. You should still only blowdry on cold setttings.
I brough a Parlux 3000 Ionic Hairdryer and I only use that on cold setting, its brilliant. My hair actually feels a lot better as a result, and it lets me blow dry daily with no damage.
