many times brothers or sisters have different characteristics physically, height, weight, different nose type's, ear size etc. But for some reason it always seems like siblings have the exact same hair texture. I've never seen a case where a woman has curly hair and her brother has naturally straight hair. Is this a constant like blood type?
Just an example: My mate Cal has extremely curly hair and his sister has pin straight hair.
It happens.
I have thick curly hair while my younger sister has medium straight hair. My hair takes after my father's side while my sister's takes after my mother's.
Hi JJ
Me and my brother do not share the same hair. Whilst my hair consists of lots of fine, wavy, strawberry blonde (basically blonde with a hint of ginger) my brother's hair is much coarser, thicker individual strands and is much darker and not as wavy. My brother's hair is more like my father's, my hair is more like my mother's.
Mark.
My sister has very straight blonde, mousy coloured hair, which she has highlightened slightly to look blonde, although she used a more natural method of highlighting her hair. I have thick Wavy, mousy hair that is straight from the root but has a kink about 3/4 of the way down the strand. But we both have soft hair, although mine is slightly courser in texture. She takes her hair from my mother while I take my hair in between my Dad and Mother, my Dad has super curly hair and my mother has poker straight hair, so I'm in between.
If she highlighted her hair from the colour I have to a blonde, I am going to try her spray and see if I can match her colour too! I always wanted blonde hair and when up to the age of 6, I always had blonde hair!
My sister and I have been told we resemble each other. We both have naturally brown hair and both of ours in straight.
hardly, I have wavy, dry, red hair and my brother has less wavy, oily, dishwater blond hair. (both ours is long though) :)
I completely inherited my mom's hair genes as wavish, straight and kinda curly and I'm the one who wakes up with bed-head, while my brothers have my dad's "spiral around the head" hair.
Nope. I have naturually curly hair and my bro has straight hair. My brother and I look completely different.
You say I've never seen a case where a woman has curly hair and her brother has naturally straight hair.
I have wavy hair and my sister has straight hair of a much thinner texture.
I'm sure that like any other genetic matter, some traits are more dominant than others. Some families all the hair will be the same, others will be different.
